Trudon 2019

Cire Trudon has asked the British, Francophile and Francophone Creative Director John Whelan to imagine its 2019 holiday season campaign. Whelan called upon the renowned British, Milano based, still life photographer Christopher Broadbent to shoot the campaign images. Broadbent’s eye is truly unique. His mastering of composition and light transform objects and small details into truly mystical images. To provide matter to Broadbent’s eye, Whelan had the idea to call upon the raw talent of the young genius wood sculptor Davide Holzknecht, from Bormio, in the Italian Alps. The campaign was shot during three full days in Holzknecht’s Bormio studio, a small chalet on his family’s property. Both Whelan and Broadbent were immersed in Holzknecht’s world, which provided fantastic opportunity to use sculpture roughs, studies, tools and even wood shavings to make Cire Trudon’s 2019 holiday campaign.
